A 750 m2 public space project with the objective to symbolically link and join the church with the city center space it faces onto. The design is a modern reinterpretation of classical forms, materials and geometry. While the symmetry reflects the heritage of the church, the design also complements the existing mature vegetation. The layout incorporates a bell and fountain as a focal point.
This 250 m2 project consists of the creation of a public space at the behind a symbolic doorthat fronts onto a parking lot. The identification of the space is generated by the extension of existing architectural elements. The brick walls enclose the site and eventually butt into the structure at the back of the stage which features a “water blade” along the door axis. Public furniture includes benches, chess tables and a dwarf fence.
